World’s End Farm

Project Detail

Located in Charleston, New York this farm is now equipped with a battery based, grid connected PV system.  In the event of a power outage, the solar panels and batteries will provide electricity to the farm’s well pump, furnace, freezer, and lights. The solar modules will be available to charge batteries during a prolonged power outage.  Alternatively, when the grid is available, the PV system will export electricity into the grid to reduce the farm’s electric bill.  The system consists of three pole mounted arrays, 8 solar modules per pole, totaling 5.76 kW (kilowatts) in size.
