This pole mount solar project consists of 24 Hanwha Q Cells 305 watt solar panels.  The angle of these panels is adjustable, allowing the homeowner to increase overall annual production by 25%.  Inside of the basement there is an SMA sunny boy inverter that makes AC power for the grid and household appliances.

What is unique about this system is that there are lithium ion batteries located in the basement.  These Li batteries will provide electricity to the well pump, furnace, refrigerator, and lights in the event of a grid outage.  The homeowner will have 10kWh of storage available.  The batteries can be charged from the solar panels, the grid, or a generator.
